TURBO MUIN

Elite Turbo Muin | Bike Trainer Review

Elite Turbo Muin trainer is a fluid trainer that can power up to 2200w. The frame is foldable and it is easy to store. The flywheel acts as an indoor fan for cooling along with a secondary cooling fan. One of the most important features of this trainer is that it is extremely quiet. As you start powering up the trainer, it may take a couple of minutes for the fluid to reach stability to reach wattage power. The unit handles power calculations differently because speed is calculated separately by the app. This makes it impossible to connect external devices like Garmin Edge for speed analysis. As with any fluid trainer, resistance is controlled by your speed and there is no separate lever.

There will be no rocking when you use Elite Turbo Muin trainer as it has a wide stable base. Noise elimination is mainly due to the absence of a wheel spinning through the air. The fluid system is fully encased and there are almost no mechanical parts spinning creating noise. Moreover, there is no slippage that is common with fluid training systems. This fluid trainer gives realistic road experience as much as possible.

You need to install the software on your tablet or laptop using ANT+ wireless connection. Elite Turbo Muin works with iPad and you can connect it with ANT+iPhone adapter. You can create your own ride or select one of the pre-created routes from the map. The data readings provided by Muin are highly accurate so much so that you don’t need any other device for analysis. The quietness of the trainer allows you to train right in your living room watching your favorite TV shows or movies along with your family. The price tag is a bit high as the trainer alone will cost $719 and you have to shell out an additional $12 every year for the software app.
